Chinatown Bangkok, now in Toronto
“Experienced for over three decades”
Chef Jojo and Chef Roj were the masterminds behind some of the most sought-after Chinese–Thai culinary creations in the heart of Yaowarat — Bangkok’s legendary Chinatown. As seen in archival newspaper features dating back to 2004, their iconic “star-rated” roasted duck and wok-hei mastery defined a generation of flavor.
Now, that 30-year legacy has officially arrived in Toronto. LHAO brings the vibrant energy, fire-kissed wok techniques, and closely guarded secret recipes straight from the streets of Bangkok to Canada — brought over by restaurateur Patrick Suksaen of Le Lert, Koh Lipe, Kati and Khem, and soft-opened on Baldwin Street in June 2026.
We aren’t just serving food; we are serving history. Experience authentic, time-tested Chinese cuisine crafted by masters who have dedicated their lives to the perfect bite. Welcome to Lhao.
What does “เหลา” (Lhao) mean?
“เหลา” (Lhao) is a traditional Thai word for a Chinese-style restaurant — a place where family and friends gather to share good food and good times.
